Welding Levels I, II, III, & IV

The Welding Technology program is designed to teach individuals welding and cutting principles and applications from the introduction to welding through welding and cutting various metals in the following processes: Shielded Metal Arch Welding (SMAW); Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) process, also known as Metal Inert Gas or MIG welding; and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), also known as Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG). OxyFuel Cutting (OFC) Plasma Arc Cutting (PAC) Carbon Arc Cutting CAC) As well as the use of hand and power tools used in the trade. The student can become proficient in welding in various welding positions from flat, vertical, and overhead. Students are able to based on their ability take the American Welding Society (AWS) welder qualification/certification welding test in various welding processes and positions.
