Battle of the Bridge Medic Blood donation info

On THURSDAY, August 27, 2026, Medic Regional Blood Center will be in the LCHS Gym Lobby from 8:30 until 2:15 collecting blood from donors. For the 100th anniversary of Battle of the Bridge, donors will receive a commemorative, limited-edition cup plus the usual Medic swag!

As long as you are over 17 years old and weigh more than 115 pounds or 16 years old and weigh more than 125 pounds, you should be eligible to donate. However, certain medications and travel destinations may make you ineligible. You may check the Medic Regional Blood Center Website for the most accurate eligibility information. On donation day, SIXTEEN YEAR OLDS must have your guardian sign a Parent / Guardian Consent for Young Blood Donors. The original form is required to donate; bring it with you or drop it off in room 218; there are no exceptions to this rule. You may print from the Medic website or pick up a Parent / Guardian Consent for Young Donors outside room 218

Things to remember on donation day:     *eat a high protein meal before you come to school in the morning;     *bring an ID);     *know the names of any medications you take.
