YOUR PRESENCE IS A PRESENT!

We began our "getting your selfie to class on time" incentive on Dec. 1st! Teachers will be passing out tickets to students that are on time to specific blocks for the day. Students should write their name on the back of the ticket and place their ticket in one of the "presents" around the school. We will draw for student names on the dates below, and the following prizes will be awarded.

Dec. 5th - cookies
Dec. 12th - Chick filet cards
Dec. 17th - smoothies

Don't be surprised if SANTA himself shows up to help with the prizes!

Reminder: FINAL EXAM POLICY

Final Exam Policy (p. 34 Student Handbook)

Exam dates for the entire school year are published well in advance and are listed below so families may plan accordingly to avoid conflicts. Our staff will not be asked by the administration to give exams early. State EOC exams will be given in English I, English II, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, US History, and Biology. These tests will count 15% of the final grade. LCS final exam results will also count as 10% of the final grade (percentage can also vary depending on course).

Semester exams will be given at the end of each semester(schedule below).
All students are required to take semester exams for both fall and spring semesters.
December 17 3rd and 4th Block Finals
December 18 1st and 2nd Block Finals
May 13 3rd and 4th Block Finals
May 14 1st and 2nd Block Finals

End of Course (EOC) and Statewide Dual Credit (SDC) Exams are required by state law. No exemptions are offered for these exams. Classes with EOC or SDC Exams must still give an exam on semester exam days.

SUBJECT: An unforgettable adventure awaits your child in Japan!
Dear families,

We’re thrilled to share that we’re heading to Japan in Summer 2027, and we’d love for your student to join us!

This is an incredible opportunity for students to explore new places, experience different cultures, and gain lifelong skills like independence and confidence. I’ll be sharing all the details, including what we’ll see and do, hands-on learning activities, academic opportunities, trip costs, and how to secure a spot at our informational meeting.

Meeting details:

 Date: December 11th

Location: Starbucks in Lenoir City (near Food City)
 RSVP here to join us:

We’ll also open enrollment during the meeting—spots are limited, and I would love to help you secure this experience for your child.

In the meantime, please visit
EF’s website to get answers to common parent questions. EF Tours is our trusted travel partner, and they have 60 years of experience helping students explore the world safely and affordably.
